Whilst we do use timber from trees.....it is what type of tree, where that tree comes from, and how more trees are grown in its place that is important. Understanding how trees are part of the CO2 (carbon dioxide) cycle is vitally important, the fact that trees are harvested once they reach maturity (trees consume far less CO2 once they have reached maturity) and replanted with juvenille fast growing trees (which use far more CO2 whilst growing) is the key!

Every timber kitchen,and timber benchtop is now a Carbon bank....for life! Yes it stores carbon forever!

Other building products, used in kitchens, especialyy MDF (medium density fibre) is incredibly toxic to make and contains poisons and toxins which are extremely harmful to both  the environment and to humans. MDF is glued together using a Formaldehyde based glue . Apart from the poisons and other Toxic chemicals used in the manufacture of MDF, the Carbon footprint, needed to produce this material is far greater than that of Solid Timber.
